I wasnt following this earlier but it seems the NWS came out with a more alarming report just as the super cells started firing.
Nothing big has changed but upping the alarm for CenLa into Mississippi. In SELa the situation appears to be as expected. North of 10/12, keep a close eye on things. South of that, the squall will be the bigger concern.
That's my read as of now anyway

Tried to post pic earlier. Pretty cool shot of forming tornado that ended up touching down in Cotton Valley.

Pictures are slow to appear on twitter. I hope that means minimal damage

You knew today was going to be bad with how that south wind was humming in yesterday. Anytime you have a wind that strong and it’s that warm in December you’re going to get popped soon.

Highway 28 is closed from Stovall Road to the WalMart in Alexandria due to the tornado. Power lines are down and no cars can get through. Find alternate routes of travel.

Some good news, the storm in Mississippi is no longer tornado warned.
So what is happening as these storms move east? Do you think they'll strengthen back up as they approach the MS/AL line? In layman's terms: do we/will we (east ms) have the ingredients (forecasted or otherwise) that the boys in central LA have right now?
Reason I ask that the storm that went north of Jackson proper was a dandy and had a PDS attached to it, but it lost steam rather quickly. Just wondering if it's going to be us (golden triangle/tupelo area) in the bullseye after the folks in LA get their share of it, or is there some sort of meteorological explanation for the rapid de-intensification of the formerly mentioned storm?

Twitter is almost eerily quiet on storm reports.
