rds dc, I'm sure you can answer this if you have a moment:
Is there anything that would inhibit a tornado from developing into EF4 or EF5 status over the GOM? If not, would it look like a typical wedge tornado you see on the plains?

I wish I was at the Turquoise in Gulf Shores on a condo balcony watching this magnificent storm and possible tornado come in. I'd probably jump into it because that's a good way to go.
I shat a brick just walking out on the balcony there. frick that

I just got that app from Blackmart. Dunno how to put city/road labels on it though. That one going to Orange Beach looks like the worst
Here's GS/OB right now:

Turn on the storm relative velocity if possible. It shows the tornado much clearer.

Dumb arse local reporter was driving towards OB from GS and the weather guy got pissed and told her to turn around immediately. Had camera and on the phone safe on 59 now (she is)

It oughta pop on velocity, but you can see the inflow notch on the reflectivity image.

Perhaps Duke or Scoop can help. I think they have the app.
ETA: It may use the acronym SRV.

It is well worth it. When under threat or having friends/family under threat I just open RadarScope and I am their silent watchman.
A couple of months ago I was on Radarscope and I found a tornado and gave my brother and his family a heads up 8 minutes before there was a warning issued. I do that all of the time. I normally beat the warning by 8 minutes.
I was the first in this thread to give a heads up on the killer tornado. I was watching the south side of the storm because that is what looked bad to me but they issued a warning for the north side of the storm which looked weak and that made no sense to me. They then did a warning for the south side of the storm and somehow acted like it had two tornados. They dropped the north side warning which was garbage to begin with.
I'm not special. I'm reasonably intelligent, fascinated by severe weather and these tools are out there if you want to learn how to use them.

WALA Fox has a reporter that will be on scene shortly after it passes. Not sure if they have anything on their site

I found it. That's a tornado?

A nighttime massive tornado in an area that is not used to tornados. Can their be anything more pants shite inducing than that?
