In Sterlington right now. Was about to drive to West Monroe through Rocky Branch but I don’t know if I will now. That thing will go right over that area
Be glad you waited. Hail reports are coming in from all around that storm now.

Is this on RadarScope? Would you explain how to recognize this please?
Yes.
Ok, so the differential reflectivity on the lowest tilt is a really good way to spot hail.
What this does is compares the horizontal size of some precip to the vertical size. A raindrop ends up being a lot fatter in the horizontal than vertical, so it gets a larger number (red colors coming back). Hail though, is a lot more uniform. So it has a return near zero (grays). You see that where there's a bright color on the normal radar, it's certain there's hail.
Correllation coefficent helps too, it asks the question of how uniform the shapes of the sample are. Raindrops end up being pretty uniform and gets a return of 1 (red color), but hail isn't so uniform and you get lower returns (yellows and under).
This is all without having to look for a hail spike in a cluster of storms.

The LCL is like 4 feet off the ground.

Liquid water showing up well above the freezing level on the Jackson radar for the NELA cluster. Whole front edge is providing enough lift to break the cap and take advantage of those steep lapse rates above.
Going to be an interesting watch until it fully merges with the line.

Cell in the clear near Grandview, TX may be an interesting one to watch. Hasn't been going long and is severe warned already.

HRRR is pushing the wind threat south. 1000+ on the downdraft cape all the way down to the LA coast. You can see that low level jet rocking and the precip brings that to the surface.

Wife asked me if I could get something from the store. I was like uh have you looked at the radar and outside. I’m not going anywhere until the morning.
That cell is dropping some mega hail north of here

Well I ended up going on 165 towards Monroe and ran into hail and heavy winds. Pulled over cause I couldn’t really see

You need balls like this rabbit I just saw in the yard has. I walked up to within 4 feet of him and he just looked at me like, "What the hell are you doing here." I took like 10 pics of him before he finally decided to let me live and hop away.

I've never had a wild rabbit just let me walk up on it. It seemed healthy.

It irritates me that the radar loading symbol on RadarScope spins anticyclonic.

I’m by the river and it poured down hard and I couldn’t tell but sounded like a few little dings of hail falling.

There’s so much rain and hail you can’t see anything
