Emory was on the back end of the last Canton tornado. You can still see a little damage along Hwy 69.

The cell west of Gun Barrel City looks to be strengthening. May be the next contender.

Rotation tracking to Jefferson right now. Will likely warn Oil City and Vivian in just a bit I bet.

Longview just had something happen again. Trees, power poles and roofs snapped almost in the same area that was hit 2 or so weeks ago. I'm 20 miles away and haven't seen squat.

It's there imo, sitting under some convection.

ETA: Won't last long though, imo

I've got to stop making tornado declarations, got a pretty classic supercell look (not perfect, but good inflow notch) now and it's clean in front of it.

On these threads, I have some difficulty identifying by name the cell or cells I am referring to. I just give it a name based on the city where I first recognize it and call it that.

I apologize if that causes confusion.

That's what I do, just state the town it's near.

And now there's one near Cedar Creek Lake on track towards them.

When it moves on though, I just call it by the name I originally tagged it with, like the cell that looks bad that I am calling the Gun Barrel City cell even though it is long gone from Gun Barrel City.

That one looks like the worst of the afternoon referring to the Gun Barrel/Mabank/Kemp cell.

It is headed for Canton with a shot at passing just north of Canton.

I’m sure it has. Pretty much everyone in NE Texas has been under the gun at some point this afternoon or soon will be.

Yea. And I didn’t pay attention I guess. Was on a work call at home and the sirens started. Had one kid at home and one sheltered at school. Went to pull my truck in the garage and there it was, what felt like on top of my neighborhood. In reality, it was over a mile east.

Canton/Mabank/GBC always seems to get hit..
