Big Propane must be thrilled. What’s stopping people from setting up a propane cooking setup outside? Overall this is so dumb

I talked to a long time Louisiana politician about this last summer. He laughed and said there's no way this happens from Texas through Florida. Even in very liberal areas it's new construction only and there's ways of getting around that. But especially in the states that are reliant on natural gas during and after hurricanes. Maybe our great grand kids will have to deal with it of we go completely nuclear.

Probably Illinois, NY and California, where everyone's leaving and will continue.

Proressives want all humans on the same systems. They want no variation.

power doesn’t go out often where I am but recently had huge blackout.

last Friday evening was at a HS JV basketball game, power suddenly gone. I guess someone crashed into a transformer. Total chaos. Was out in pretty big area for about 3 hours, but in those hours no status updates given, do we stay or leave for night? Dark and cold.

Point is, I’m really not looking forward to this being a regular occurrence

Instantaneous electric water heaters are very common.
I was talking with my plumber about them a couple years ago. He said if I ever decide to get one, to definitely get a gas heater. Said the electric on demand are trash and not nearly as efficient.

I have to figure Florida will be the last state on that list. Good to live in Florida.

Liberalism = Freeing mankind to make individual choices best for themselves and their family.

Progressivism = Restricting mankind, post liberal philosophy utilizing authoritarianism to limit choice, and force humans into the exact same systems.

Between banning gas stoves and forcing electric cars on us, this is the reality. Almost like its deliberate. Can't have the populace mobile and able to feed themselves when the government shuts off the electricity.

Do they make electric ranges that are any good now?

Induction stoves are actually very good. Heat up and control heat better than gas or electric ranges. And clean up easily like electric.

But do have their drawbacks. One being they are still expensive/less widely available, and the other being certain types of cooking, like wok cooking, is not ideal due to the lack of getting that wok hei from heat traveling up the side of the wok. Also because it works on electromagnetism, aluminum and copper pans wont work.

It’s kind of stupid what we are doing. But no one seems to care.

most people are too busy in the rat race to devote the time to getting to the bottom of what the left really wants to do.

they trust the media to tell them the truth about things and they do nothing but lie on behalf of the politicians who want to control our lives.

people think those in power truly have their best interest in mind, and it's temporarily easier to live in denial than confront reality.

I would build a fire and cook on that before I was forced to use electric.

Obviously some of the southern states will not do this like Texas, Alabama, Florida and hopefully Louisiana but the problem is going to be with companies then transitioning away from producing gas run products.

This is going to suck a bag of dicks
