I'm sure he sparred and trained in all the different styles, but training and competing are two different things.
You don't take Chuck's word that he could have been world champion at his weight class? Now, that's point-fighting, with rules (not this hypothetical IRL stuff). He saw the guy/sparred with the guy all the time.
Just saying...

Ha! Lee would be killed
why?

You don't think Lee could do a quick hold
What is this "quick hold" you speak of that could result in breaking someone's knee?

kick to Tyson's knee and break it? really???
Jose Aldo has the best leg kicks in the world, at a comparable size to Lee. I might have missed it, but I am unaware of him ever breaking another man's leg with a single leg kick, and he's dished out thousands.
So, it is EXTREMELY unlikely that Lee would waltz in, and break Tyson's leg with a single blow.
You too much TV

My issues and most others as well is he wasnt a fighter. He trained his arse off in fighting disciplines, but he didnt actually fight. Lee was a crossfitter basically, his sport was working out
This doesn't HAVE to have a bearing on the conversation.
See above, remove the name "Bruce Lee" from the equation or split your thinking two ways.

he was 135 at the beginning of this thread, then 145, now 160.
When he gets to 195 or so, I think I´m taking Lee.

If he can get him in a hold, sure. But I don't see him kicking and breaking Tyson's leg or knee. Lee pulling off a kneebar in a real fight is a different story.
First question is do we think if Lee gets a good kick on a knee, can he break it? I think everyone would agree he could.
Second question is do we think he could land that kick on Tyson? I would say that the chances are extremely good for him to be able to land that kick on somebody who has no real idea how to defend his lower half from any type of attack like that.

You keep saying leg. What are you referring to? I'm talking about the knee. Is Jose Aldo trying to break people's knees in his fights? I have no idea.

I said earlier that I'd have to pick Tyson, but some of you people are making the stupidest comments detracting Lee as just some actor or karate guy or whatever.

He is, but he went into more about boxers and stuff too. I just want his reasoning.

What gives you the impression that Bruce Lee's leg kicks are light years ahead of today's best MMA fighters' leg kicks?

Heaviest, sure. Fastest??
I would love to see somebody try and get a good punch in on Bruce Lee before he could take out a leg or something. Again, I just don't see that happening.

Did you read the thread title? Lee died about a month after Tyson's 7th birthday.
Isn't A LOT of this pure speculation? It is all we have to go on in this discussion.
Factually, they likely never could have faced in any sort of fair contest - Lee would have been well into his 40s when Tyson came of age - and was approaching 50 when Tyson peaked.
I think this thread was supposed to be about fun - some of ya'll take it a little too seriously - that's all I'm saying.
