Have had it happen on several occasions. Doctor said I probably just popped a blood vessel. Did the colonoscopy anyway to be sure

get your arse to a doctor this week and get checked, things like this generally easily diagnosed, mostly a non issue, but sometimes can be a life threat

Bright red
Bright red would lead me to think hemorrhoids but there is usually some itching or burning. Like others here have said, a darker color for the blood would be more alarming because it probably came from a more internal source.
I wouldn't be too alarmed but you should still get it checked out by the doc.

Is it black or red? If it's red, probably just hemroids. But black, you need to go to the doctor ASAP.

Dude if it is bright red and on the outside of your stool it is an internal hemorrhoid. Go see your doctor, he will check you out and give you a prescription for some suppositories. I am speaking from personal experience.

Just a hemroid or anal fissure. If blood had been hanging out in your digestives system for minutes at a time, it would turn black. Red is not that big of a deal typically.

Worst case scenario is colon cancer. If caught early it is no longer the death sentence it was years ago. Before you go ask your parents about any cancer history in the family.
Either this, or your girlfriend played a prank on you when you were passed out drunk and could not retrieve the dildo. Do you feel a little vibration every now and then?

No, but about a year ago. I was drinking the gin heavily. One day I went to go eat at subway. I'm pulling back up to the office. I pulled over and puked a half gallons worth of blood. Craziest shite I've ever seen. Never went to the doctor. Didn't happen again.

if bright red blood it is probably hemorrhoids (internal) if it is really dark red, it cold be somehting more serious. Go get a colonoscopy

Could be an internal hemorrhoid that bleeds when you poop. Or, could be a polyp in your colon, usually last foot or two that me be bleeding. Have it checked by the doc and you will be scheduled for a colonoscopy.
