I never got a class ring, I just bought myself a nice watch as a grad present.

Tell us about the time that you scored four touchdowns in a single game.

I think we should first establish are we talking high school or college student rings? High school is probably a waste of money. College ring though is an achievement and a lot of people in the professional world proudly wear their college ones every day, especially those aggies.

Always thought wearing a college ring in the business world was like wearing your high school letter jacket in college...but that was just me.

His bio says OP is nearly 23, so I naturally assumed he was talking about a college ring. My ring is an LSU ring.......I was the only one in my HS class to not buy a HS ring.

I don't feel that way about them. I don't wear mine every single day though. I wear it for nicer occasions, LSU events, and some days I just feel like wearing it.

I'm sure it looks great with your letterman jacket.

I was stupid and got one in High School. They actually let us order them our Junior year, so I wore it for a couple of years. Now I wish I hadn't. I do wish I had bought a college ring though. Something simple with both of my degrees on it would be nice.

People still buy those things? Save your money and buy something useful.

The A&M slapdicks wear them religiously, then guys from the 2nd tier schools (SFA, UTSA, etc...) try to be like them and do it also

Save yourself quite a bit of money and don't get one.
I knew I would never wear one so this was an easy decision for me.

I don't think I have ever met an a&m grad that didn't wear theirs every day and everywhere they went. Probably even wear it while sleeping.

did anyone ever wear one? (other than the week after ring day )
My dad offered me $300 or a ring, I took the money because from my brother I knew I'd never ever wear that thing.

Don't buy one, huge waste of money. I did not get a senior ring but instead asked or a nice watch. Still use the watch, no one I know or would claim to know still wears their senior ring.

I really don't see the point of these. Am I missing something?

For aggies, it's an identifier for when they can't smell each other out. They wear those things proudly and love to tell you about dunking them.
