I heard a younger lady say that to an elderly woman and it stuck with me. I'm a little religion rusty, but was she implying that the world would end after the elderly lady passed but before she did? She didn't seem to have any power or influence that could cause the second coming, but that seems like a prophecy of some sort.

Is that creepy to you?

'See you in heaven' I think would have been more appropriate, but what do I know? The younger lady may have just been an idiot.

according to Christianity, that's when all living and dead will meet the Lord in the air ....

and yes, not funny to the old lady I'm sure

The rapture isn't biblical. It's a recent concept we smuggled in.

If they were both dead then they wouldn't need the rapture to meet up again.

Depends on if you believe in soul sleep or not and how you define the rapture.

If the elderly lady is a Christ follower...then she would not be offended in the least. Perhaps these two knew they would never see one another again in this life.

They knew they wouldn't. They met in McDonald's and had a conversation over lunch. They seemed real happy to have met. The younger lady turned around before leaving and said see you at the rapture. I was with my boss and he looked at me like he'd seen a ghost. I just smiled since I don't know his religious leanings.

Don't worry. Filthy muslims with sharia law will abolish all Christian concepts.
So you can breathe easy now.
