Didn’t you have a lengthy political discussion with Zappas on a FBD thread a few months ago?

Welcome to the south. It’s a wonderful place with happy people and an incredible way of life.

What SC counties would you recommend to steer clear of where the voting demographics mirror that of Orleans Parish and East Baton Rouge Parish, in terms of getting a fair trial?

Richland and Orangeburg are the first that come to mind.

Charleston is its own liberal haven in a red state. That said, it's a great place to live. I lived in Charleston (Summerville) for nearly a decade before they shut down the Naval Shipyard. I've lived a number of places in my life but Charleston remains the best. Wish I never left.

Charleston has the carefree southern sophisticate ambiance New Orleans did at points in the past.

My daughter lived there for two years, and she said it only took one year to get kind of bored with the place. She said the first year was great, though.

Yup. Richland voted almost 70% Biden. And the demographics reflect it.

Man I'm jealous. This is my bucket list place. I want to live there just for the golf courses in that area.

This is the most millenial thing I’ve ever read. It makes me embarrassed to be a millenial

Grow up and be a man, get a real job turning wrenches, buy a house instead of living in the millenial version of a trailer park, and quit worrying about “culture”

Cringe. I hope ai replaces all the work from homers. I hope the new place has room for your funko pops

Wtf is a badger?

Charleston is a totally badass southern utopia. The line of demarcation is somewhere in Virginia

His biggest concerns about moving are trying to hang out with people who went to the same college as him and watching thugs throw a ball around

Mr. Biden, restart the draft

Charleston is great, but I found Mt. Pleasant, Sullivan’s Island, Folly Beach and isle of palms to be far better places to live/visit.

All those places seem great from the little time I've spent there. Think I settled on looking for a place to live in James Island or parts of West Ashley to be close to downtown

Much more to do. Savannah is limited to a few blocks in the historic district.
