Well you clearly don't understand the big bang theory.

Reminds me of something...I just can’t quite put my finger on it...
What is that from?

I sure do. Why are you assuming I started at the Big Bang?
Big Bang was an explosion
What was before the explosion
Is the Big Bang fact or theory
There is so much you and I do not know, we should respect that and not try to act like Einsteins on a message board.

Envious of who has this house

They add color to these photos though, no?
The way you get the very bright color in astrophotography is you drop the shutter speed and it lets more light into the picture. You can't do it on action shots because it would blur (and some of the photos above have star trails from the shutter being open so long) but in space where things relative to distance move so slowly you can keep shutter speed really slow.

LOL, prove me wrong. See how that works. Neither side has absolute proof, so quit getting butt-hurt someone used the word God.
I swear your religion is worse than the Baptists

Yup a few billion years ago, nothing just blew up into something. Happens all the time in our known worlds, we see it everyday.
We do not have to call it God if it makes you feel better, but there is a Divine Architect beyond what we can see. Once you study the universe, down to life itself it is hard to use oops that was just chance as an explanation.
What a load of garbage.

It is amazing the many on the OT cannot enjoy cool space pictures. What is wrong with "you people"
Somebody said God, we must unite and fight

Typical vacuous response from a theist.

Nobody ever wins an Internet argument.
Well except for FT and Toddy. They lose most of theirs.
Ok, back to the cool pictures of space. Space was created by /*Insert your belief here*/, so man and woman could look up and marvel at true beauty.

More space, less theology. I don’t care what any of you believe. Space is fricking cool.
Posted on 7/27/18 at 5:39 pm to DeafJam73
A few of us don't believe anything. We just observe.

Any reason pic 12 looks like some fantastic cleavage

One Day There Will Be No More Total Solar Eclipses
quote:
Every year, the moon moves about 3.8 centimeters (1.5 inches) farther away from Earth. In addition, the sun is slowly growing larger as it fuses hydrogen into helium and consumes its nuclear fuel. The moon has been slowly slipping away from Earth ever since it formed billions of years ago, a time when the moon was closer and larger in the sky. Because it is getting farther away and smaller as viewed by us on Earth, and the sun is getting larger, there is an inevitable day when the moon will become too small in the sky to block the whole sun.
That day is about 600 million years in the future. A paper published by NASA predicts total solar eclipses will end in about 563 million years. However, Belgian astronomer Jean Meeussuggests in his book, More Mathematical Astronomy Morsels, that perturbations in the orbits of the moon and the Earth will result in periods of on-and-off total solar eclipses starting in 620 million years, and the very last one won't happen until 1.2 billion years from now.
