For me personally, I have the upmost respect to ever officer. If you see that, th you have a problem. Police officers are not there to frick shite up. They are here to uphold the law. When people direct hem, then whatever happens to them, I have zero problems with it. At that point, you got what deserve for not respecting them.

But that's what I've come to expect from police officers lately.
I hope if you ever need a cop they are too busy to come and protect your ungrateful a--!

They don't normally protect. They react.

He sounds like the type to then become outraged that they were not at his beck and call fast enough.

I see them protecting schools, movie theaters, malls, sporting events and motorists all the time.

Which I am totally fine with, but police officers should be able to call these same people a fricking count without reprimand.
They should be professionals.. they're the ones being paid. That being said I have no problems with officers using language

I could have sworn their badges said "To protect and serve"

Personally, I would have let her sit there and continued on teaching. Being a leader is getting results. Having her physically removed in the way it happened is poor leadership and very... lower level management style.
So what do you do when your class changes and she's sitting there still refusing to move?
Or better yet, a state auditor comes into your persistently low achieving school and marks you on rigor on your evaluation because you don't address the student not paying attention to the lesson? And it costs you your teaching job.
I'm sure teachers would love to just ignore students who don't give a shite but it doesn't work that way.

Another dumb frick bites the dust. She doesn't have parents, boss. I think the real problem with you is bigotry or racism.
And there we have it folks...that's the only fall back bone headed liberals have!

WTF are you talking about?
Hell, I'd argue that people calling out bad cops are more pro law enforcement than people who make excuses for them.

I prefer to use the more politically correct term of "Social Justice Warriors" but all right.

Yeah, no one believes that crap anymore. Cops don't protect you from a specific crime. They react after the crime is committed.

I'm actually interested in hearing this argument.
I was referring to the folks that said just let the little twit keep defying everyone and allowing her continued violation of the rules. Several folks stated that she should be ignored instead of enforcing the rules. Not a great idea.

Didn't read the thread and don't care to watch the video, but I've read articles and heard about this throughout the day at work.
I have always been under the impression that cops are supposed to go through rigorous testing and training, which they graduate from once they have proven that they will not use their power to hurt anyone they don't feel legitimately threatened by.. certainly not unarmed people, certainly not high school females. Is this not the case
It seems like more and more we are hearing about cops using unnecessary force on unarmed/non-threatening people. Since when did having a shite attitude make you threatening?
I thought these psych tests were to make sure cops had it in them to not react violently to "attitudes" like a civilian might would. But it seems that plenty of hot-headed people are given that badge. I don't get it.
I'm sure the student was in the wrong. I'm sure she was disrespectful and disruptive. She may have even committed a crime. But unless she was physically attacking the cop, he had no reason to do anything harmful to her. Most men larger than me could get me out of a room without hurting me.

Didn't look like he was going to throw her until she started punching at his face. Shite, if it was anyone else they would've thrown her down too just to get her fist away from their face.
Exactly. He was doing was he was called in there to do. The student wasn't budging, but I guess he should have just ignored the situation and let the students do whatever they want, that makes for a great learning environment.

Absolutely. Otherwise both the teacher and the rest of the students that are actually good kids and want to learn will suffer.
