Have them go to school in the summer and be out in the winter months.
Actually, the school season was based around the farming/harvesting seasons. That’s why they’re in school over the winter.

Come to think of it, I bet Spring Break was really meant to let kids stay home and plant the seeds that they would harvest just before returning to school after Labor Day.

Why do kids need to be in school? They aren't learning anything in school. Most of the class time is spent on discipline with unruly kids. The majority of the kids are sent to school so mother can do what she usually does when they are at school. People need to sit in on a class to see what is going on. Teachers lack the knowledge they need to teach kids. Some of the things that were told to me by teachers who have master degrees are laughable and you can't convince them that what they told you is wrong. It's a joke in the public school system so I favor private schools. If I told you some of the stuff that I was told by "educators" you would call me a liar. The sad thing is that these people actually believe the crap that they tell you.

St. Tammany hasn’t been fully overrun yet, but it’s coming. Northern Tangi and Washington Parish are next because people that that can leave, will leave. But, those same people will bring their problems with them and will corrupt wherever they go with the same BS they were trying to get away from. It doesn’t matter if it’s SE Louisiana or somewhere in Europe, that’s what will happen.

Escambia County (FL) closed. I have heard inadequate heating on a lot of the older buildings. Most Gulf Coast kids don’t have cold weather gear for the bus tops.
AM wind chill be close to 0 degrees at 6 AM.

nice cold morning to go rabbit hunting. If they would have closed school for us that is what my friends and I would have done when we were ten.

We would have been safe with a bunch of shotgun’s, running around in our little aluminum boats.

Dropped my kid off at wrestling practice at 6 this morning. School said they could wear layers and not be against uniform code... They're open for sure...

What ice? The roads are open. Everyone I know is working as normal except the schools.
