I posted my xbox one on craiglist to sell and I have an obvious scammer asking for my paypal email. I have his phone number, 256-548-3282, and email. What is the best way to screw over this piece of trash?

How is asking for your PayPal info a scam? Because buyer always right in PayPal's eyes and he will claim you never shipped?

They have ways to protect yourself.

He wants to pay me $100 more and for me to ship it to his son studying in Africa. Also, who the hell texts and calls multiple times regarding purchasing an xbox one for more than the cost of a brand new one at 2:30 AM.

I get it but.. you can screw him by getting the payment and buying the buyer protection and shipping with a signature required.

Still doesn't mean it's a scam.

I've never experienced a scammer that is willing to operate via PayPal. I've bought and sold everything from a Jeep Rubicon to an XBox 360 on Craigslist.

What makes you think he's a scammer?

ETA after reading your most recent post: that does sound pretty fishy. I have no idea other than to say PayPal has been air tight for me.

Then:

Oh brother.

But you can protect yourself as a seller. Buyer is always right but not if seller had insurance.

Track shipment with signature. Wait for money to move from pending to available.

He also might not be aware xbones went down in price?

Doesn't he need your e-mail in order to transfer money to you?

Use that number to register for crap. Not worth trying to sell it and dealing with issues should they arise.
