That is a little high, but not as crazy as you think. A Corolla is about $1k.

Not to hijack, but some of the newer cars with lane departure and collision avoidance systems that will need recalibration and reinstallation. Saw a mercedes the other day that had 2 mobileye units on it.

Yeah, not sure what all goes into raising the price.

My other car has nightvision cameras and infrared through the windshield and is right around $500. So nothing makes sense

You sign a contract at the beginning and they email it to you.

It is an open and shut case, Johnson.

Not that simple. These franchised locations love to pull fast ones and take advantage of people who have signatures on file or 3rd party/insurance bookings.

Amazing the shite they try to slide by that I have to catch when returning...or even after returning.

I have a receipt emailed to me by before I leave the lot.

If he didn't pay for it then show the receipt, just a matter of the refund then.

I only use enterprise now. Their policy of pick up in one location and drop off in another with no charges or fees is what hooked me.

Rented from Hertz what I was guaranteed was a C63 in Cali. They handed over a CLA 45, even though the website lists specifically that the rental is for a C63 and says "This exact car".

Got annoyed, spoke with the manager for a bit, and he gave me a brand new 911 for the same price and a $50 gift certificate. I was happy with the trade-off.

Turns out that they don't even have any C63 cars for rent at that location, and they have been trying to get Hertz to change it for a while

Rented from Enterprise. Brought it back after one day and received a bill 1K for hail damage. Never rained! Called corporate and chewed some arse. They dropped it. FRAUD at it's finest.

I haven’t read the whole thread but I used to work at enterprise about 10-12 years ago. It was a horrendous job. That being said, go easy on the people trying to sell you insurance. When I was there, that alone was basically how you were judged as far as doing your job and almost no one wants to buy it.
