Pit bulls are like crotch rocket motorcycles. Usually, the only people who own them are the exact ones who shouldn't.

Yes, I suppose they could provide great protection

What’s amusing about this is it is usually the non-owners who in reality actually need protection from the owners.

I donated to the fund.

If a dog has more than 25% pit bull/staffordshire DNA, or vet suspects such absent a DNA test:

- to own one, it must be spayed/neutered and obviously restricted in movement.
- pregnancy of one requires immediate abortion.
- no more than one per residence or business (eliminate the pack attack)
- cannot own one within 300', or something similar, from other residences.
- if any of these are violated, without an attack, 30-day mandatory incarceration.

Not realistic to euthanize them all, but with reasonable changes, they can die off and be gone in a generation - 12-15 years. Then those remaining with small % dna will dissipate over time.
