WTF is he doing with the backpack? He walks up to the garbage, sort of looks like he considers throwing it in there, then goes to the fence and holds one of the packpacks over the fence while doing something then walks away. Is someone on the other side of that fence taking or putting something into the backpack?

Can't tell whats going on, is there someone else in the shot?
If so, then maybe there is some smoke there. They are burglers working in pairs and the guy on camera is the one on the other side of the fence.

The tent is probably just to control the lighting. The equipment inside is taking forensic measurements (better quality than contractor tools, and more court admissible). The timing coincides with the video. So the purpose is likely to capture the porch area as a reference point to more precisely identify the suspect’s measurements.

Assuming the timestamps on the camera footage are all correct. I used to know a guy who worked in forensics on security camera footage with the Tampa police department, or somewhere out there, I don't remember exactly. But he told me courts are really picky about admitting residential security camera footage in cases unless it can be proven that the timestamp is accurate.

If this was professional he would have brought black tape to cover it or used butt if gun and smashed ot immediately.
Not saying the guy is a pro but, IMO, the plant isn't a bad way to cover it up vs. using tape that dna evidence could adhere to & then be transferred to the door or etc.
The guy obviously isn't as dumb as some want to make him out to be otherwise he's already caught.
Has anyone explained why she took an Uber to get to Annie's house? I know thet said it was for a family dinner but why the need to Uber.
I wonder if that was a planned dinner or if she just showed up and she came over for dinner is just a ruse.
They claim either Annie or Tomtasso drove her home but has that been confirmed ? Did Annie's house have any surveillance? If so that video would easily prove the story and timelines. If that was me I would be more vocal about my innocence and would have already shared footage of her leaving my house in good health.
