Yeah it wasn’t a great match at all.

Kross still seems green to me despite wrestling for years now. I guess his lack of selling is indicative of that

I guess that's better than being called Bigfoot by Flo...or a Swamp Monster.

Lee
Ciampa (confirmed??)
Dijkovic (confirmed?)
Dakota
Green (confirmed?)

Tearing shite up would fit Rhea's punk character. That's 3 each.

Dream is stuck in NXT until he is 100% cleared. Strong works with his wife in NXT. With Britt in AEW Cole won't get a call-up until they lock him into a long term contract. So Fish and O'Reilly would be the two...likely to help SD's tag division (essentially taking FTR's main roster spot.)

I thought Cole signed some kind of new deal with WWE

ETA: I could be wrong though

I think he signed a two year deal in late 2019....I'm pretty sure he has over a year left on that deal

Don’t be surprised if some of Retribution is made up of Black Wednesday talent.

Almost all of them are with Impact now so unless its someone like No Way Jose or pregnant Sarah Logan that seems unlikely.

With her there they're either going to need him to sign a longer deal or spent the next year + in NXT. Why would Vince want to build someone just to see them leave a year later? If Britt want in AEW I think it would be a completely different thing.

Anyone know what kind of deal she has with the Khans? She's been on TV so they can't toll it at all (like Vince did to Jeff Hardy/Revival/etc.) Its not like she hasn't worked in WWE before... she was the first one fed to the resident whale.

ETA: Looking at the clock and wondering what's taking you so long TRC?

New WWE NXT Champion Karrion Kross suffered an injury during his big main event win over Keith Lee at tonight’s “Takeover: XXX” event.

Triple H hosted a media call after Takeover went off the air and said it appears Kross suffered a separated shoulder during the match, according to PWInsider. Kross is set to undergo a MRI to get a better idea of the injury. Triple H noted that Kross is tough and was able to gut through the injury to work the match.

I guess we see why

Well that suplex off the top rope was indicative of a possible injury

the injury is reported to have happened early in the match... which should tell you that he was battling it all match long... thus why he looked off and why the match suffered

hope the injury isn't bad enough that he'll have to relinquish the title

Apparently it was a separated shoulder so it’s not something that will require surgery, but will require rest - how much is the question.

Final Takeover results:

Thanos: 0+25 = 25
rT3: 15+25 = 40
TRC: 71+25 = 96
316: 51+25 = 76
Dunder: 95+25 = 120
TM225: 63+25 = 88
Nono: 30+25 = 55
G: 21+25 = 46
SS: 57+25 = 82
MD98: 64+25 = 89

Big shake up in the top 5 after this ppv. I'll post the new standings in the SummerSlam thread. Speaking of Summerslam, since it is one of the 4 majors, except some huge point totals from it so just because you slipped back in the standings doesn't mean you're out by a longshot. If you've been thinking about joining the FWL, this is the PPV to start with.

So I just finished this thing....and I came away with a couple of thoughts.

1) The ladder match was just OK...Gargano did his thing and Priest rose up. It seemed like Dream was holding back I wonder if they didn't want him to look real strong because of his situation? I also am not so sure Grimes or Reed are ready for a top of the card push ala Gargano, Lee, Ciampi, Kross, etc. I wonder if this effects the decision of sending Lee and/or Cole to the main roster.

2) WWE women's division is in good hands....I think IO and Dakota could go up to Raw or Smackdown and step right in and be great. I wouldn't mind seeing a strong heel run from IO on the main roster going against Asuka. And with the way they built up Teagen Nox in the battle royal last week I think the pipeline of women is strong.

3) Pat McAfee over-delivered and surprised me. A lot of that credit goes to Cole. Adam Cole is so god damn good....I mean be had the match of the night with a damn NFL punter.

4) Obviously Kross' injury effected him in the main event. Although it certainly wasn't Lee's best match either....I think it's like someone mentioned earlier maybe they just don't click in the ring which happens. If they think they can do better I bet we'll see a rematch in a couple of weeks or so assuming Kross' injury doesn't take him out.

5) What other face can NXT out in the title picture other than Keith Lee?
