Why all the hate for California? There is San Fran and L.A. areas with all their problems but that's relatively small geographically. The rest of the state is an awesome place to visit or live for the most part.
Not to mention the country's largest economy (by far).
Producer of two-thirds of the country's fruits and nuts.
Producer of one-third of its vegetables.
Largest wine producer (by a million miles).
Largest dairy producer (by far).
Most active-duty military.
And you can go on with other industries of course.
But carry on with the tribal politics.

I work here in downtown SF. I haven't seen any poop on the streets around here lately, just your local homeless shooting up heroin in the back alleys, people getting stabbed/murdered on BART, and the police arresting people for eating a breakfast sandwich on the train platform. Can't wait to get back to Texas once the gravy train runs dry.
