San Diego police shoot man they say slipped out of handcuffs

Remember when a police officer would shoot an armed man if he didn't comply and drop his weapon? Now these guys are so scared of the consequences that they are allowing criminals to actually shoot at them before they fire.
Even after being shot in the chest the dude wouldn't comply.

Police said officers shot the man after he ignored demands to drop the weapon and fired one round at them, according to reports.
The 25-year-old Hispanic man was taken to a hospital for treatment and was expected to survive, Fox 5 San Diego reported. He was shot in the chest.

I saw an interview with one of these wack job police reform types the other night who made that very statement. She said police should be required to wait until shot at before being allowed to fire. She said it is the only way to be sure they shoot people who deserve it. She also stated that, yes, this will cause some police to die but that is what they sign up for. Only certain people can perform this pretzel logic.
