I didn’t mind the CR Apple flavor, but didn’t really treat it like whiskey. Full glass of ice with CR to the top of the ice and finish with water worked good for a nightcap on a camping trip.

I saw a local liquor store advertising it. I don’t know what it is to be honest and don’t buy Crown Royal but it seems to sell out apparently.
