Alton was a piece of shite criminal. Once the struggle got to the ground, he reached for his gun. You really think he was just going to give up and allow the officers to arrest him that night? Do you really think that? He had two officers on top of him and he was still trying to kill them, what else could they have done to make him go peacefully?

It’s very possible they knew exactly who they were dealing with when they got the call from dispatch.
I could almost guarantee 100% they knew exactly who he was. I would bet selling CD's like that is a regular occurrance for sterling. These convenience stores have regulars, the cops get to know them. That's whether it be a redneck white trash guy that buys a 32 oz bud ice every morning at 930am, black guy, asian, whatever.
These cops patrol the same general areas daily.

Yes, they call them good or bad shoots.

Now you’re just making up lies

If you think rolling up and pulling a gun threatening to shoot the guy in the head is the correct response to that situation, I have no idea what to tell you.
You don't think that with a huge guy armed with a gun, an immediate show of force isn't a good tactic? Maybe some resident cops can weigh in, but I can see how it could be.

Read the thread.
The only reason the ground game happened was because Salamoni acted foolishly.

nope there isn't. no when its as simple at putting your hands on the hood of a car and everyone going home safe. I don't believe officers should have to put their lives on the line for that
Posted on 3/30/18 at 8:38 pm to CapperVin
If he would have complied we wouldn't be talking about it. He was a high felon with a firearm who didn't want to cooperate with officers. They did what they had to do to go home to their families.

So Salamoni actually wasn’t even a cop?
This occurred in Salamoni’s bedroom after he was awoken in the middle of the night?
I love this board

Bottom line.

The guy was just a bad cop
After seeing the full video I think he was far too aggressive and escalated the situation unnecessarily. The other cop acted fine.
Sterling was an idiot for not complying, particularly with a cop acting so aggressively towards him.
I can imagine that many cops are a little on edge being called out to that neighborhood at night but he didn't even assess the situation before becoming aggressive.

I'll admit the video doesn't look good at all.
Given that, let's wait and see what the two officers say. It very well could come out that there is more evidence out there, especially a testimony from Salamoni on why he did what he did. There very well could be a reason he tackled him. Not likely a good reason, but there could be.

bullshite. If he keeps his hands on the car in the beginning nothing else, including the two tazes before the tackle and then the shooting, would have been necessary.

Nope.
Again, read this thread.
Salamoni went Chuck Cecil on a contained suspect for no reason and that’s why we are here.

No it’s because sterling refused to put his hands on the car so they could retrieve his firearm.
He was told multiple times to stop resisting and put his hands on the car or he would be shot.
That’s textbook.
