I went to MBS and decided not to send my kids there

Mehhh
Some parents want bigger schools, some want smaller.
Some admins tend to cater to kids more than others.
But overall, Dr Mel keeps a well oiled machine.

I get that. I went to St. Al but my kids are going to St. Jude. Again, our decision was based primarily on location and convenience, and we attend mass at St. Jude. We still considered St. Al just because I went there. But I think they have 5 classes per grade like St. George now. They had 3 when I went.

I'm just saying that the guys saying "St. George is the best and it's not even close!" probably still try to squeeze in their Dragon letter jackets.
Bottom line, there's no huge difference.

Is 700 students K-12 small?
The school is pretty much tapped out as far as expansion goes since it has almost no room for growth in any direction without building where the football field currently sits.
..and don't give them any ideas.

I used to live in Sherwood and went to STM in the 90s and it was a great place to grow up. But that neighborhood got taken over quick and they quickly destroyed the area. The country club went to crap, property values are worthless and because of that there aren't a lot of people that want to live in the area and send their kids there. Sad how much things can change in 15 years.

It'll take 30 years for that to happen.
The area around Redemptorist was bad in the early 80s and it was only a few blocks off of Plank Road as well.

Lot of Asian families at STM now, but still a good parish.

The parish is mostly Hispanics and Vietnamese, now. The school is decent, but Aloyisious (or however it's spelled), Mercy, Sacred Heart, and St. George are all considered better.
