Does the article state the age of the infants that died of pertussis?

I'm only asking because the excerpt is specific that infants receive that vaccination at 2mo... but didn't have the age or the health of the babies that died.

Good catch. They are VERY short on details. The kids could also be "migrants" from South America or Mexico for all we know, picking up the sickness from anyone in their circle -- including those shedding or coughing on them who were "inoculated" BY the "Whooping Cough" vax. That's an ironic was to "catch" diseases, ain't it? ( FROM the vaxxed.)

No question.

Public Heath Officials roll out these same BS scare tactics ALL the time. There was just one in Texas not long ago. "Migrants".

Exactly.

Nothing has changed since the proven bioweapon "CV vax" was foisted upon a naive and trusting public -- in many cases, coerced, shamed, and by threat of losing one's job.

Everyone know people adversely affected by vaxxines of their lives.

Pertussis vaccines are not sterilizing but help reduce spread through shortening severity of the infection as well as the length someone would be contagious. Babies can't be vaccinated until they are 2 months, so they rely on herd immunity before that.

so you want mandatory vaccinations for school children because baby’s that won’t be attending school won’t have the vaccination the first 2 months ?

Whooping cough was a thing of the past, but it began making a comeback around the time our borders were breached by non-vaccinated invaders about 20 years ago.

Disease control is one of the primary reasons to keep our borders secure.

Is it possible these infants were 2mo or younger? Or that they were compromised by prior illness or prematurity?

Sometimes these articles are written with the intent to alarm the public into a desired reaction despite the actual details.

Unless the parents come forward, we don't have that specific detail (whether it was 2 months or older).

The Health Department did say that neither the Mothers or the infants were vaccinated.

quote:

Health officials said none of the three infants who died or their mothers had been vaccinated.

They did not say where the cases of whooping cough were in the state.

Officials said there have been 566 cases of whooping cough in Kentucky as of Nov. 19 and they expect there to be more in the final weeks of the year.

quote:

According to KDPH, the best way to prevent whooping cough in babies is by receiving the Tdap or DTaP vaccine. Those vaccines protect babies from three bacterial infections, one of which is pertussis.

Mothers can get the vaccine late into a pregnancy and that will actually keep an infant protected until they hit two months when they can get their first vaccine.

Pretty fricking irresponsible to be a mother and not vaccinated for Pertussis when it's recommended

6 weeks old in Kentucky.

When I worked a daycare in high school, there was an infant/newborn room. The youngest we had was 7 weeks.

Yeah, let's NOT learn our lesson in 2021 and keep on trusting CDC and state-sponsored bio-weaponized programs that destroy DNA, shortenand weaken lives, and address the elites' de-population wishes.

Dear People,

God did not make us defective out of the womb. In His infinite wisdom He gave us super-efficient Immune Systems.

He did NOT leave us defenseless. Or create these inumerable diseases that require "science" to solve the problems "God created" (according to them.)

WAKE UP. They are lying to us. YESTERDAY. TODAY. And TOMORROW.

I find incomplete reporting to also be irresponsible.

These three children could have been under 2mo and infected by a low rent childcare worker… they could have been immunocompromised and vaccinating wasn’t applicable.

The article gives just enough information to cause alarm- but not enough to accurately inform the community of actual risk.

So there are hundreds of unprotected infants between 6 & 8 weeks old, all of them vulnerable, all across Kentucky daycares.

That sounds very dangerous… there oughta be a law or something.

That's more a HIPAA issue than an irresponsibility. Health Departments are limited in information they can release in terms of identities, ages, etc.

When I worked in schools this was the "tree" of being notified of Whooping Cough (I worked in a school where we had an outbreak):

- Kid goes to the doctor and is diagnosed.
- Doctor's office notifies the county health department
- County health department reports to the state AND to the school the child attends but CANNOT provide the name of the child to the school.
- Depending on the disease and if there's an outbreak at the school, you can begin excluding children who are not vaccinated for said disease (it's different per disease).

Usually the parents will tell you or will notify the teachers/staff. In our case the parent sent the kid into school while still contagious with Whooping Cough. So that was fun.

I have to agree to disagree here. The actual KDHP statement informs the public while also encouraging parents and children to be vaccinated when appropriate.

It's probably just poor white trash hillbillies that don't get a lot of healthcare they need because they are poor and stupid. It probably has no political reference point.

There was. In order to be in daycare you had to be vaccinated (if of age to do so). State legislators loosened that restriction and provide more exemptions outside of medical.
