Because you have an obvious bias and I couldn’t give two shits less about it.

“[John Wayne] did not like what I was saying up at the podium,” Littlefeather said. “So, he came forth in a rage to physically assault and take me off the stage. And he had to be restrained by six security men in order for that not to happen.”
“It was interesting because some people were giving me the tomahawk chop. I thought, ‘This is very racist. Very racist indeed.’ And I just gracefully walked and ignored them,” Littlefeather continued. “They put two armed guards around me, and said they were going to take me to these different press rooms. One was for television press, radio press and international press. And I would have about 10 minutes in each press room, and that was it. And then, I was escorted out the door.”
She FELT like he was going to physically assault her. Also, apparently the 1973 Oscars is where the "tomahawk chop" came from. Suck it Braves and Seminoles, you uncultured swine.

I bet you have knowledge of all kinds of revisionist conspiracy theories. You should start a thread on the subject and share a few more.

I'm sure there are lots of corroborating witnesses to this.
I like Dennis Miller's take on it:
quote:
On Liz Warren: “She’s about as much Indian as that stripper chick Brando sent to pick up his Oscar for The Godfather.”

Jesus, dude. Tell us you jerk off to pictures of dudes dressed as cowboys without telling us you jerk off to pictures of dudes dressed as cowboys.
In psychology they call this projection.

She wasn’t Puerto Rican but it seems like neither of her parents were full on natives. And she’s from California. Which isn’t the original land of her father or mother.

...from a 1971 interview with Playboy, John Wayne said..
"With a lot of blacks, there's quite a bit of resentment along with their dissent, and possibly rightfully so. But we can't all of a sudden get down on our knees and turn everything over to the leadership of the blacks. I believe in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility. ... I don't feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from the Indians. Our so-called stealing of this country from them was just a matter of survival. There were great numbers of people who needed new land, and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves"
There's a good bit of dickishness in a few of those statements.
