RUSTON, La. (KNOE) - Catherine Roberson is grateful she can think quickly. She was at her home in Ruston, where she said she was met by a complete stranger, on Saturday.
Man accused of getting naked and peeing in a woman's yard.
Man accused of getting naked and peeing in a woman's yard.
"This guy just came out of nowhere and asked me 'Hey, do you want to buy a laptop?' and I was like 'Well, no thanks," she said.
Roberson said she was sitting outside when the stranger came up to her. She says the guy began to ask her questions, "Like where do I go to school? What's my name? Where'd I get my tattoos? I just figured he was really determined."
Roberson said things quickly started to shift gears, so she went inside her home. Then she said, "Probably about two minutes later he comes and knocks on the door." Roberson said the man was pacing back and forth then left. After a few minutes, she said she went back outside, but the man came back too.
"I looked out of my peripheral, and he was peeing," she said. "He was looking at me just dead in my face."
Finally, Roberson said she called the police. While waiting for them to arrive, she saw the man getting completely naked. Roberson said the man begin pouring a jug of water on himself. Then she said he started walking towards her home again.
Ruston Police Department identified the man as Derrick Robinson.
"He went to pushing on the door...you could hear the cracks," Roberson said. She said she held her daughter tight while pressing her back against the door.
"The operator was asking me is that him? I was like 'Yes, he's trying to come in," she said.
Roberson is hoping her story teaches others, especially women, to watch their surroundings.
"I had no idea of what he could've been capable of doing," she said. "And I'm glad I don't know any more of what he could've been capable of."
Robinson faces two charges of disturbing the peace and obscenity. Lincoln Parish Detention Center is holding him on a $10,000 bond.

It’s good though. When he started trying to open her door I got a bit anxious even.

I thought this was America. It’s a shame a man can’t pee when he needs to pee
