South Louisiana would be a strategic target. We're a big part of the O&G industry.

Mississippi River is critical to our economy. You bust those levees and you cripple us.

Mostly a joke but I’m sure it’s some type of sabotage/espionage.

Yep, between that and the ports, SE Louisiana will catch some nukes if things get off the rails.

I don’t think it’s any secret SE Louisiana is a major target.

Despite what this site would have you believe, there’s a ton of value here between the river, ports, and refineries.

Solid move. I am sure they will show up at the hearing.

It was a fairly common topic around here towards the end of the Cold War that South LA was a strategic target at the time. I have no idea how accurate it was but it makes some sense

You don't to target a missile. This could be a trial run for sabotage, or old fashioned industrial espionage.

To do it in broad daylight is either incredibly inept or they wanted to be seen. They should have figured out someway to hold them without bond because they'll never stvfoot on this country again.

Could also be a false flag by paid actors to drum up support to get frisky in Eastern Europe

In my very limited knowledge outside my own opinion stance - it feels as if the likelihood of a nuclear war between the big boys would be minimal considering how intertwined the global economy is. Please don’t nuke me tho
