Lafayette dioceses sent out notice that LPSS doesn’t plan to back teacher
These two things are not the same. So who is punishing teachers? The Diocese or the Parish Public School Board?
ETA: i see this was cleared up

Yeah, the Lafayette diocese is pretty conservative. I doubt the parents at Fatima or Cathedral or St.Pius would put up with any shite like that....much less STM. If so I assure you the bishop would face repercussions from his flock.
If Lafayette goes woke, it's over.

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)- Catholic schools located in the Diocese of Lafayette are implementing a new “Sexual Identity Policy” into their handbook that will be enforced in the 2022-2023 school year.
The Sexual Identity Policy states that it will require cooperation of school officials, faculty, parents, and students for the continuation of their participation in the private schools during the upcoming school year. Students and staff must use pronouns, wear clothing, and use the bathrooms that align with the pronouns assigned to them at birth, according to the policy.

Nobody wants to acknowledge it but Lafayette has a little Austin Texas vibe trying to infiltrate it.

It’s not even up for discussion the catholic school parents feelings about this. What is so discerning is LPSS seems to be leaning into policies that contribute to our schools being the worst in the country, the woke crap is just icing on the cake.
The differences between public and private aren’t even comparable, it’s 2 different things entirely.

What a dumb article, par for the course KLFY. This isn’t any new policy you dumb liberal journalists.

Parents should tar and feather the school board members until this crap gets tossed out of the school system.

This is true, if you compare UL campus during 2012 election when I was there, vs 2016 and 2020 elections, it’s night and day.
Lafayette will always be a stronghold for normal people though. This stems a thought for me, we have always lacked in industry because of our reliance on oilfield technology, but our culture is unique, you won’t find many other cities this size with our proportion of conservative culture (I say conservative but really I just see it as normal?).
Maybe our culture will entice a new industry. I say this in my 7th year working in oilfield tech. While the plan was always to work 3-4 years and move out of here, I decided I’ll take a pay cut to stay around people that won’t piss me off when they talk.

It’s so corrupt, school board members seem to be appointed from above.

Every single person is the gender he or she was born. End of story.

Right, the diocese sent it out ahead of the public statement from LPSS, to let parents know they won’t be following that nonsense, as the diocese usually tries to follow lpss.
Same in my diocese. The bishop said that to entertain such falsity runs contrary to our Catholic faith. We should be kind to everyone, but treatment of these people should be geared toward helping them accept the gender God created them to be—not entertaining the falsehood that people can just change genders at will because they feel like it.
If I had a school-age child now, there is no way in hell she’d be in a public school. The public schools have gone so far into bizarro world that I don’t think they will ever get back to any sort of normalcy.

Who addresses acquaintances, or in this case their students, by a pronoun in the first place?
"Johnny and Susie, come up to my desk, please"
This is such a retarded indoctrination where it forces a kid to declare it's "gender".

This is part of why it is so crazy. The only time we use he/she pronouns is when we mention a person to another person. When speaking directly to a person, the second person “you” is used. These confused people want us to refer to them by their chosen pronouns when speaking to others. It’s complete lunacy.

Some idiot probably thinks ‘boy’ and ‘girl’ are pronouns.
