Archie was a family name for them. It is the name of the child's grandfather. Being somewhat unique was just lagniappe.
And just to confirm, I talked to our friends and they are indeed pissed
You'll see a massive surge in basic white trash women naming their kid Archie now.

I was curious and had to look this up. He isn't a prince according to some law that was put in effect in 1917. Title only follows first born unless the Queen or King of the time declares it different. Queen issued something for the rest of William and Kate's kids to be princes/princesses after George was born.
I can't believe England still lets these nutjobs parade around with titles, but they do get a ton of tourist money for this garbage.
