I got one from an AG store in NWA for $10.99 and it tasted very similar to oak point.

It is dough, sugar, butter, and cinnamon (or pick your filling) and a plastic baby smaller than my left testicle's left testicle.

Let the good prices roll!

Rouses Kingcakes use to be fair pricing.

Regular 6.99 (now 12.99)

Bavarian filled 9.99 (now 14.99)

Accurate? I believe this is what it was last time I went in vs last year. It took a dramatic leap in 1 year.

People keep buying so I assume this is why they continue to raise.

Just about everything in a grocery store has jumped in price like that over the last year

Not a bad King Cake at all.

“Sam's king cakes are better I hear”

Not sure if joking

Can not remember if it was sams or Costco… in Baton Rouge ….but they were carrying gambinos traditional and a few dollars less than if you bought it directly from the bakery

Prices are too damn high!

Thank god tasso, pounce, and roast are still reasonable.

You know, actual south louisiana staples not commercialized. Yet.

Don't let anyone know that pounce is essentially a giant sausage and tasso is basically bacon but better.

OTers bitch about prices too much these days. I spent $82 the other day for a Dong Phong and a Brennan's from my local snowball stand. I was just happy not to have to wait in line.

Had my first one from there last weekend. Best one I’ve had in awhile and the price point wasn’t bad. Cheaper and better than Rouses for sure.

A king cake better than 95% of most king cakes would be your favorite canned cinnamon rolls, topped with toaster strudle icing packets and colored sugar sprinkles. And that would be better those 95% of most king cakes.
