An upleveled Jody?

Chad's are a thing here. They live in Lincoln Park and go with the "Lincoln Park Trixies".

Have you seen a blond twentysomething woman wearing pointy black shoes and the latest outfit from Forever 21, carrying an armpit bag and clutching--no, clinging to--her boyfriend's shoulder while strutting down Fullerton Avenue? Perhaps you've seen one working out in Crunch, wearing makeup and shorts with sorority letters on the butt.
quote:
Despite slight differences, there are unifying Trixie characteristics. Many moved from other parts of the Midwest to be with their college boyfriends, who are now in finance. They pay too much to rent in an area with trendy bars and gourmet bakeries, and will never venture south of the Loop.
The attitude is universally a sense of superiority and entitlement--after all, they've got the money to burn on Ugg boots and Burberry bags--which is, thankfully, the first giant signal that I'm not a Trixie.
Trixies are on top of the world because they are the next generation of SUV-driving soccer moms with 2.5 kids and a McMansion living the classic American dream. In short, they're postmodern gold diggers with a college education.
It's the Trixie attitude that bothers me the most. I'm not hip, I'm not fashionable, and I'm not a Trixie ready to double date. So I'm not worth talking to and, well, I feel pretty close to invisible anywhere near Armitage and Sheffield.
When I am seen, I get a big dose of attitude. I've been pushed to the side by a Trixie clasping hands with her metrosexual boyfriend. I've been cut off in Starbucks, thwarted in Dominicks and elbowed out of the way in Wrigleyville bars.
I would classify Olivia as a more trashy, wannabe Lincoln Park Trixie (her choice of man is exhibit A of why I qualified her as a wannabe trashy version).

Oweo what if there is proof that this isn't his first incident and that he has write ups before while working in the department????

I know the type.
And I hated going south of the Loop as well. Usually meant Pullman.

The dude guy hired after stabbing someone, and managed to not get fired for shooting himself and someone else, as well as a hit and run, and that’s just what we know about. Throwing beads at a float isn’t going to cost him his job, the good old boy network has his back

Yes. If they have money for Burberry and Uggs they aren’t wearing Forever 21.

If you know for sure he was written up for similar behavior before and he works for a fire department that covers your area then you have somewhat of a responsibility to make sure whoever his over him knows what he did. After all, his behavior could one day have an impact on you. If you ever need their services and he shows up and screws up because of his inability to control his emotions.. At least that is how I would look at it, but if someone sees the video and knows nothing about his past, etc.. And they just see that one video and decide to "report him" just because they don't like what he did... That's where it gets dangerous..

Yeah, what's with the Ronnie thing?
I apparently missed that.
