This will hit mainstream media in a day or so, he's going to get blasted.

That's a compliment in my book. He told the truth today and shut down that dumbass reporter playing the race card.

Why in the hell would you and the guy above you, or anyone else for that matter, be watching MSNBC?

That station is horrible and you 2 are half of it's viewership.

Seems he's the only official, in almost any city, that has the balls to say what he/they really want to.

I would venture to say at least 80% of the officials where things like this happen, wish they could expose some things like ole Normand did. Probably more considering people can say some subhuman things when they get mad, especially if they're mad because they aren't getting their way.

ETA - Not saying he had to take it as far as he did, he could have at least used things like "n word, f word" etc, etc. Point still stands though, most of these officials, I'm sure, get abused and threatened and told things that would make most people think WTF? I know you try to take the higher road, and maybe be PC or professional, but I bet it's hard to hold back when you're getting threatened and they also take it to your family.

He showed today why he is nothing more than a parish sheriff. He's a pretty intelligent guy but his emotional tirade today is exactly why he'll always be small potatoes.

You're probably right. It's not like there's been any recent instance in which someone who makes outlandish and controversial speeches and statements has escalated to the highest possible position.

Normand is a bit biased in his statements to the public. " mr. gasser had no way to retreat", absolutely implying he wanted to retreat. First off they were both boxed in. What about McKnight? He had no way to retreat as well. But he left that out. Secondly and more importantly, the shooter is the one who admittedly took off after Joe. I doubt gasser wanted to retreat, especially with his history of physical altercations/road rage

Joe could have gone wherever he wanted to while driving outside of he traffic lanes to pull up next to Gasser. McKnight wasn't even in a lane, he was on the shoulder.

Where does it say Joe pulled on the shoulder? But the sheriff was absolutely implying that the shooter wanted to retreat. It's highly doubtful he wanted to retreat, especially with his history and since he is the one who took off after Joe

Does not look like a shoulder

This morning the reporter chick on WWL accused him of saying the "n-word" without even mentioning that he was quoting others on Facebook. They mad.

You should pull up the intersection on Google maps and you will see that the vehicle on the right couldn't get blocked in. He could've easily turned right and been on his way.

Almost just had a gasser incident on the way to work just now. Summbitch driving some piece of shite. Tailgating me through two school zones. Finally passing me in one between the cones going 45. fricking animals.

Just like the idiots during the Olympics calling the Kenyan runners African Americans.
They break their backs to be PC. Most people would be embarrassed but they don't even realize what they are saying.

Why did Gasser exit Gen DeGalle if he was heading to Wall?
On the flip side, why did Joe continue to Berman if his destination was Algiers?
Obvious aggression on BOTH sides.

Oh yeah, he was definitely following Joe.

Did that ever come out? Just curious. I think it's safe to say that they both were at fault at this point.

Definitely. I do think Gasser wouldn't have been so aggressive had he not had a gun in his car. Unless he's just the dumbest 54yr old on the planet that thinks he's superman.
