Robocall/Spam call explosion

Anyone else seeing this? Wasnt bad then this week started getting hammered.

I get them here and there, but maybe a small uptick this and last week. I keep blocking.

There is no way in hell that there isn't a way to eliminate robo-calls and spam calls. The tech to prevent the spoofing of numbers would be laughably simple to incorporate across all carriers . Once that is done, it would be even more simple to effectively block calls. The carriers will not do it, nor will the FCC make them. As with anything, follow the money/lobbyists.

I have RoboKiller and it’s helped a lot:
Blocking rarely helps… but RoboKiller lets you block entire blocks of numbers. For example, you can block all numbers within (000) 111 if you want to. If the numbers are from across the country… you don’t get calls from them anyway. So block them all.

Nothing for me so far. My "Never, ever, under any circumstances answer a call from an unknown number" approach with this particular phone number seems to still be holding.

I had a period earlier this year getting around 25 per day. fricking insane. Never answered them. But they kept coming. It’s slowed down. But still getting at least one a day.

I can confirm this to be true.
On a drunken whim, some buddies and I had a contest of who could send/record the most vile comeback to telemarketing calls. It of course backfired as we all get a ton more calls now. Or as one friend put it, we have created a very target rich environment. And of course we inevitably had the one call which was from a legit distant relative who ended up getting some midget snuff porn.

They go nuts. I hear a lot of “ aloha snackbar ‘s”. Then I presume they are calling me some kind of MF’er in a language that is neither English or French.
