Anyone check the weather radar? There's a decent cell of storms rolling in from the south creeping up toward the river right now. That should be a fun addition to this party.
looks like it's stalled where it is
if it is moving... creeping is a more than correct way to describe it

I still maintain that if this man lift is next to General Lee when they lift him these two guys are likely dead.
Edit: Dude, you can't climb like that. What the frick? Someone at OSHA just shat their pants.

im assuming there are safety protocols put in place that if its too windy youre not supposed to go through with the procedure?
Yeah, if the lift is being directed and performed by competent people instead of Mitch Landrieu and his Merry Men.

I will be shocked if he doesn't initially kick. I could be wrong but just looking at the points of force applied he's just not going to come straight up 180.
I'm just tuning in, I wouldn't have any idea how to go about doing this, and I don't know how the weight is distributed in the statue...but it sure looks like his feet are going up and it will fall back, or do a face plant, once it is lifted up.

Yeah, they better get out of the way when it comes time to lift the statue.

After looking at it for a while most of the weight is on the bottom, gravity should keep it straight up.

Yeh, they making me nervous just watching... so indecisive. I truly hope they ground that manlift for safety.

By the looks of the idiot's sleeve, that wind is blowing like a busload of figs.

Outside of the barricade, and the other guy unclips him.

I tend to agree, my concern is at the notches where you have a rotating force.
