“They were backed up to the restaurant door with that dead deer in that car they use for delivery," the witness said. Police turned the case over to the Cabarrus County Health Department. "We went there and found, indeed, they had slaughtered a deer, or were cutting up a dead deer in the back of the parking lot and had already brought parts inside, into the sink," County Health Director William Pilkington said. Eyewitness News anchor Liz Foster went to China Fun Tuesday. "Were you guys going to serve that deer to customers?” Foster asked. A woman at the front counter said, “No, why are you recording anyway?” Foster then asked, “Why did your workers bring roadkill here to the restaurant?” The woman at the front counter responded, “I have no idea what you're talking about."

So what? If the Deer meat wast spoiled, who cares?
It doesn't say where they found it. If they hit it, it would be fresh

It amazes me that you read about these incidents and Chinese restaurants, you'd think they would be aware of the preconceived notions surrounding their business...but they do this shite anyways. Like that truck that got in the wreck carrying all those cats that was on it's way to a Chinese buffet.

Because wild game is illegal to sell and/or serve to the public, and I doubt they're labeling whatever dish it's going in as deer meat

What if they were going to cut it up and bring it home to eat themselves?

Just another way for the nanny state to line it's pockets and control the populace.
You know what you're getting knot when you eat Chinese.

It just happened to be deer that day, probably out looking for run over dogs and cats per the usual...and I'm not making a joke

I understand we eat Deer in Louisiana, but ask yourself this:
Of all the deer you have seen on the side of the road, have you ever picked up one and took it home to eat?
How would you know how long it had been out there? Howw soon will it spoil? Idk I don't hunt.
Also, are we certain this restaurant only does this with deer? What about any type of roadkill?
Even if you're the biggest wild game proponent, this is at least highly questionable

I've butchered wild game in restaurant kitchens before. It wasn't for the customers. It's just much easier in a commercial kitchen than at home.

If I see it hit or hit it, yes. Rabbit, squirrel, deer. Brought all of them home before. Meat is meat

The Chinese Buffet in my hometown has some of the best cat I've ever tried.
