Gentlemen, please!
Enough with this boisterous talk.
Clearly, you need a fair and impartial judge to determine the outcome of this gastronomical debate.
Luckily, I know of just such a fellow.

Kinda surprised this thread didn't take off. TJ was involved in way more than just about a half a dozen seriously popular restaurants in the Baton Rouge area.
He was also a very loyal LSU Athletics Booster.

I worked at Ninfa's for a summer job a long time ago. The week after I started he changed the employee discount. I thought he was such a jackass for that.
Absolutely. My college friends hated working for him in the 90s. TJ this and TJ that.
But now in late 30s we look back and appreciate what he's done to maintain and expand successful restaurants for decades all while giving all those snot-nosed college kids well-paying part-time jobs.
I admire him and am grateful for what he did for BR dining
RIP TJ.

It's crazy how few people know about those tasty motherfrickers. So good. I order them dry.

probably the best employees to have in that bidness

All his restaurants have gone to shite, IMO. Time for some under appreciated chef's from better markets to come in and re-vamp the terrible BR restaurant scene.

What's the real story about Cannon's Heisman being at the restaurant?
Posted on 5/20/15 at 1:42 pm to Lsupimp
I agree with you.
Hopefully posters will have respect.
As a former kitchen employee I'd like to convey my sympathies to his family and to those appreciative for his steadfast contributions to Baton Rouge.

Damn Keibach died? I'm getting old. I went to him for braces ~23 years ago. He had all of these hot young women working in his office.

I think ole Billy paid is dinner check with counterfeit bills and TJ went to collect and came back with the Heisman because all Billy had was the funny money.
Or something like that.

Ruth Chris is by far the best restaurant in BR

Cannon was completely broke. Was a win/win for both I guess. I wonder if Cannon will ever try and get it back.

seriously doubt it was given, traded or sold, memorabilia like that is usually on loan with lot of paperwork involved, and this case probably some hefty insurance

Meant that it was a win for Moran in that being displayed there, it does draw some business in. Who knows how long TJ Ribs will stay in business. You would think Cannon will now consider having it displayed somewhere permanently.

Sauce on the side, with ranch. Doesn't get any better than that at TJ Ribs.
They also serve a very good steak and pork chop.
