did pay attention to the wedding advice?
They just had her on Finebaum. Trevor was looking forward to having that conversation after the season was over.

This death is actually affecting me more than it should, I looked at Leach as a Grandfather.
He’d have wisely deferred.

I don't even know how to put this into a completely concise thought. This has hit me real hard. I wasn't a fan of the hiring... to the point of getting blocked on Twitter his first day. I watched Finebaum yesterday and saw the Snyder tweet last night. I woke up to the news this morning and it felt like a truck of bricks hitting me. My wife's aunt (who was like a 2nd mother/MIL) died last week and I shed only a few tears at the service Friday night. I've shed a ton today. State was lucky to have had him for these last few years. I remember exactly where I was on campus when the news of Walter Payton's passing came across the radio. I feel almost the same tonight. So privileged that he decided to be a part of our State family.

Not sure if it was already mentioned in this thread or the MSB thread, but state’s bowl game is in Raymond James… where there is an actual pirate ship. Damn

That was one of the first things that was mentioned after the game was announced. State came out this afternoon to say they'll still play. I would be shocked if the committee didn't indicate that honoring Leach would be at the center of the game. They should already be adapting the State pirate flag for the ship in Tampa. I'm sure there's plenty of ways they could take the flag down after the game, cut it up, and donate sales towards the causes he supported.

I'll be shocked if they don't wear the B-B-B combination from Leach's first year at State.

A maroon pirate logo on the black matte helmet would be great.

Whatever they do to honor him at the stadium, I expect Will Rogers to go off and Illinois to get their asses handed to them. Will has been in the system long enough that I suspect he'll have a ton of input during the game (just look at past Leach QBs becoming OCs & HCs).
