I knew Lil Anthony pretty well, but it's been awhile since I've seen him. He used to come by my office and we'd chat. He was a great joke teller. His jokes weren't that funny, but the manner in which he told them was priceless. Great guy and quite a character. He will be missed.

RIP...

Although I HIGHLY disliked his George foreman pressed muffulettas. Is Pokie still alive?

Yes he is. I had the delicious spaghetti & meatballs one day last week...I like Pokie.

I first met Anthony when he had a place on North Sherwood, I think. He was always nice to me and my family.

I just saw him a couple of weeks ago. He spoke to me as I was leaving with a to go order. He looked fine at the time.
Marco told me he used to work for chef Paul at Europe's before he started his own place. I used to love that place too.
Heartfelt condolences to Marco and family.
