Procession after service will take Dep. Garafola by horse-drawn carriage to nearby shooting site. Then funeral home

NYPD: Been to 5 officer funerals in home city recently. No public support, unlike BR, where support is "touching."

Thank you NYPD for your show of support. We were just in your fair city and it was wonderful.

This family is supposed to be on vacation ... not at a funeral for their father. Man this sucks.

eta: and I'm impressed with the words of JBE ... still not sure about him in general though.

Yeah they had a fly-over. Caught the end of the service on TV and it was pretty amazing.

Pardon my ignorance but how far is that? And I'm curious about horse hooves on the hot surface. IDK much about horses but love the tradition. RIP Sir.

Yes, those helicopters flew over during last call. RIP Brad Garafola and Captain Robert David Melton of KCKPD, who was also buried today. Glad to see the BR community showing the same support that I saw earlier during the procession in KC.

not sure if he will be transferred to a hearse at BQuick. They are stopping at the scene. Good God if this doesn't get you choked up you have no heart.

I don't think the people there know it. It's going to be pretty emotional.

Interesting fact, when a flag is displayed over a street, the stars should face north on an east west street, and east on a north south street, this display is done correctly, great job SGFD and BRFD
