Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus questions

Are there still good family oriented shows available such as the circus to take my young child to? Are the staples Ringling Bros and cirque du soleil still running shows?

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey has been reimagined. There's no longer animals as part of the show. It's now essentially an arena-based acrobatic/stunt/live-entertainment production—65 performers from 17 countries, aerialists, trapeze, acrobatics, music, dance, comedy, etc.

I had no idea RB/B&BC was still even a thing.
I do know I went in the late 80s/early 90s and it was a blast though.

Monster Jam is quite the circus.
College sports.
Local hockey is good if you have a Jr Team -out of the heat and cheap
Local or university orchestras or band ensembles.
Drive-in movies if you can find them.
Dinner theaters or plays.
Day at the gun club.
Wildlife departments often do fishing days where they stock a pond and no license required.
Depends on your area and what type of activity you're looking for (Cultured or a little more Rural)
Edit: The thing is, young kids just want your time. To do what you are doing. Things as simple as building a bird house and hanging it. Expose them to many things -even the boring ones

Went to this show a few weeks ago in Houston. I can’t recommend it enough. I had a fantastic time. 2 hours of entertainment for like $25 per person.

I once spent an afternoon on the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus train. The circus was in town, and a buddy of mine had a friend who was in the circus. "Let's go visit my friend on the circus train." Absolutely, that sounds cool. It was.

If you’re ever in Sarasota, FL it’s worth the trip to see The Ringling estate with Ca’ da’Zan (John and Mable Ringling’s
Home) and the museums on the property. They also have a museum dedicated to the circus itself with a ton of historical artifacts and sometimes performances on site.

This circus is advertising their upcoming shows in Bham…
According to their commercial, they’ll be performing at Legion Field.
Would I take my family? Oh hell no. But you do you.

Now there is a blast from the past. I remember going to a couple of those back in the 80's. I'm pretty sure they were at the Centroplex. I remember going to the Shriners circus, too.
I didn't know that Ringling Bros. were still around. I could have sworn I remember seeing on the news 5 or 10 years ago that they had done their last show. I guess it was something else I am thinking of, or they made a comeback. Either way, what has been described by others seems like a good time.
