Favorite class I ever took was History of Rock n Roll. It was freakin awesome. Tests consisted of listening to 30 seconds of 20 songs and listing the artist and song name. My favorite week was the Vietnam/Woodstock era. Had a whole week on Elvis, too. The teacher played with a Chicago for a while; he was cool as shite.

Agree. The course would sound better if it weren't titled South Park. Should call it something like "Contemporary Social Issues In Popular Culture" (and maybe include other cartoons like The Simpsons).
For sure. That would be a good elective or an important class for film degrees.

Currently taking
4116 Conspiracy Theories Senior Seminar
Not ridiculous, but one of more odd ones offered.

Washington State is about to offer a class “Leadership Lessons of Insurgent Warfare and Football Strategy”.
A non-credit seminar.

At UW there was a 1 credit class called "Music in Performance". Basically you show up and different kinds of musicians would play music for 50 minutes after a little schpiel up front. The biggest no no was reading the paper in class.
You could take the course up to 3 times, which I of course did. It's affectionately known as "Clap for Credit"

I took weight lifting too.
I was shocked at the number of hot females also taking it.
Our class was geared more to machines than free weights, Calisthenics, and running. Our final was we had to run a mile in less than 20 minutes. We had some fatties really worried but seriously you can power walk that.

Not to be pedantic but is not this better?

My wife just mentioned to me that, while in college at LSU, she went to Europe for a couple weeks as part of a class.. while there, she briefly took her top off on a clothing-optional beach in some country on the Mediterranean .. therefore, she literally got college credit for walking around half naked on a beach.
