He doesn't use his position as a pastor to sell his books? He has never and will never mention his books during his sermons? He does not use the fact that he is a pastor to influence people into thinking that he is an authority figure on spiritual subjects? He has not gained notoriety for being a religious figure? No? Not at all?

Are we actually arguing about hucksters? All these pastors are hucksters. They just fleece you with all that bullshite. Suckers born every minute I guess.

The Apostle Leroy Thompson keeps his 2 jets at BR Regional. One is a Dassault Falcon 900.

You're not only wrong...but very wrong. All preachers pay personal income tax.

Sure, they pay personal income tax, but their homes, yes multiple homes, jets, travel, meals, etc. are all covered and owned by the TAX EXEMPT "church".

Ok, but you're talking about less than 0.5% of preachers in the country. Rich people of all professions game the system. I see nothing special about Joel Osteen.

Of course, but this thread isn't about those pastors.

Nope. He's like 96, though.

Say what you want about the rest of the people on that list, but Billy Graham is as genuine as they come.

If you read his brief history it's pretty impressive. The amount of presidents and famous people he has served as a spiritual guide to is interesting.

Man seems pretty genuine in his quest to spread the Gospel though.

Duplantis def belongs on the list....

25-room house on the corner of River Road and Ormond Boulevard in Destrehan.

Since the tax-exempt ministry owns the house, Duplantis will not have to pay the over $33,000 a year in taxes that the homeowner of a $3 million house would normally have to pay, according to Parish Assessor Clyde “Rock” Gisclair. The money donated to build the house will not be taxed either.

Besides the almost 35,000-square-foot house, Jesse Duplantis Ministries also owns a private plane. Fox 8 News in New Orleans got a copy of the flight records and said that Duplantis has taken nearly 2,500 trips on the plane since buying it in 2000. The trips include two recent flights to Hawaii and 11 visits to Las Vegas.

There is just no way I can be of the same species of mindless animal that truly believes in the supernatural as explained in that 2,500 year old book.

Bro, are you suggesting that the God revealed to a small semi nomadic desert tribe 3000 years ago which was subsequently enslaved, conquered, and dispersed is not the only true God? That all the meticulous laws He laid down to these tribes and said were to be upheld forever and without ever mentioning sending his son, which he never mentioned having, to earth to die for some reason and cancel out these laws that he said were to last forever, were bullshite? You're a strange bird if you don't believe all that.
