Bro, my wife has about 30 coconuts on display in our house. I’m not saying white peoples don’t get lucky, but we quit going to Zulu once our kids got older bc some Zulu riders purposely snubbed white people.

It’s a pretty common well know thing

You must have an ugly wife and kids.

It wasn’t an issue of timing as much as it was Zulu just couldn’t pass through the crowds.

Zulu has a lot of walking groups, baby dolls, etc that stop and mingle with friends and family along the route and end up holding up the entire procession because people just stand in the street holding up the tractors.

I’ve heard the city as well as both organizations are not happy with this years delays.

That all run the same route, not close to the same thing.

I disagree that it can’t work but assuming you’re right, it can’t work, then Why does Zulu run a different route?

Seems to me, if the city wants things to run smoothly, they arrange parades in a way that best achieves it.

There were some abnormally long gaps between floats this year for sure. Also had a 20 minute or so delay about midway through the parade where I was standing.

The rule is 45 pull units max per parade. Truck parades are different. Big parades like Zulu must have 14 bands.
Pro Bono Publico Foundation probably subsidizes Zulu and the city tune of 1 million+ dollars a year.

They are 100% being laughed at by Zulu and the city of NOLA.

Zulu doesn't like the fact they have to start at 8am.
Zulu overloads their floats so they break in route.
Zulu won't move the broken floats off and continue.
Zulu DGAF.

The court issue will be addressed, My bet is the Intercontinental is out, probably a viewing stand before Jackson.

Again, you are ignorant as frick Zulu was on St Charles before 8:30 this year

Again your Kenner bruh arse is showing your arse

Zulu doesn’t even start until 8am at Jackson and Claiborne. That’s more than a mile away. There’s no way they were at St Charles at 830

your ignorance never seems to amaze me

Rex couldn’t even toast his queen this year bc Zulu stalled the parade like they do every year.

It wasn’t only because of Zulu. Hell Rex got caught on a tree.

There were other issues. The damn truck parades didn’t finish until nighttime.

Rex needs to start back at Magazine and Jefferson like Detat and others. Build stands at the Montgomery Grace house for the toasts and end the parade at Jackson Avenue.

You’re correct. I’ve seen enough Zulu parades to last me a lifetime. But you do you

I was further up St Charles in a much more family atmosphere

This isn’t true. Orpheus starts late every single year because Proteus is late every. single. year.

Well, they obviously got held up somewhere because they (Zulu) were still turning from St. Charles onto Canal at 2:00.

I caught some of the tail end of it after watching all of Rex on St. Charles near Napoleon and then driving downtown.

As mostly an outsider looking in, I do find this entire "issue" so terribly amusing on multiple levels, though.
