Yes, I provided a first hand experience a couple posts into the thread, and others have as well. Take your race baiting elsewhere, like back to the Reveille.
So it is your anecdotal experience vs. the Reveille's. Why should I believe a bunch of openly racist anonymous forum posters over a college newspaper that is at least putting a story out in the public....a story that seems to be oft repeated? As is the case often times, there is no smoke without fire.

Most of the posters in this thread have been to these bars hundreds and hundreds of times. I know I have over the years.
The point we are all trying to make is that it if you dress correctly you'll get in, no matter your race. I had several black friends that would frequent tigerland in college and never once had trouble.
I have also seen dozens of trashy white folks turned away instantly.

My dad's from Africa, and I've had black friends since I was 6. Want to try again?

Same stupid liberal bull shite article the Reveille published in 1999.

I feel like they write this same article every year and have been doing it since the early 2000s

What if #LF7 was denied entry into one of those bars
He could walk up to the door barefoot in tiger land and the bouncer would have to give him his shoes.

So if a bunch of white college kids tried to get into all black bar, they'd just get a high five from the guy at the door?

Are you claiming the black bouncer is racist?

Who said the bouncer was black, you Racist.

The fact is the majority of dress code violators try to start fights so the bouncers don't like them and they also don't tip so the bartenders don't like them. So the minority of good doers suffer profiling bc of the majority of bad. This isn't my opinion, this is a fact.

They shouldn't be letting hooligans into bars with young, college kids anyways. These parents pay good money for the education and safety of their kids. Pretty soon Baton Rouge will turn into New Orleans where even Uptown isn't safe anymore.

this is also terrible business practices. It’s disturbing knowing these bars are not concerned about all the money they’re losing
Lol

i jokingly posted the dress code sign at a local bar on facebook and one of my more liberal friends commented on it
i messaged her and said it was silly but there is a legitimate problem with trash (of all colors) invading and being disrespectful and aggressive towards females, which makes females stop going. that basically kills the bar. i thought the "feminist" styled argument may sway her, but her comment was basically "if they can't stay open with guys scaring girls, then they don't deserve to stay open"

I've been not allowed into bars in Tigerland due to dress code. I was coming from a costume party and was specifically dressed in attire that was prohibited. Couldn't complain.

I've never seen a bar dress code.
it's posted directly above or next to ever bar entrance in tigerland.

When did this start, and why no all white shoes?
No matter how old you are you should know the answer to this question.
