Why would anyone unnecessarily spend $1000 on a 10 year old truck?

Its red so...
Anyway, I'm a stickler for little life necessary things. A great bed to get good sleep on, great pillows as well. Great brakes on my vehicles for maximum stopping performance and lighting to see everything in front of me. I will spend crazy money on comfort and safety.

I have driven some worn out trucks in my life....I have never thought I needed lights that were brighter.

So in your opinion. worn out headlight housings and wanting to upgrade with a replacement of better quality and performance is frowned upon by you?

If you make them that bright arse blue that 99% of the people do and then put a lift on the front and shine everything in our eyes....yes, it is frowned upon.

If you really want to be a nuisance, just get an exhaust that makes you sound all bad arse rolling thru the neighborhood. The headlights and that seem to go hand in hand.

I see you didnt read shot in my post. I'm going for high end projectors with cut off way below eye level for oncoming motorists.

Installed some 3inch projectors with Volvo ballasts and Philips bulbs in last car.

Cut off line was sharp as all hell, with a small flare I tuned in for the right side center.

Had maybe 400 bucks into the whole thing.

Currently run same chinese 3inch projectors in panamera shrouds. Philips bulbs and ddm 55w ballasts.

On low beam, there is zero glare for oncoming traffic. On highbeam, a 41inch lightbar behind the grill only shows a little side fill.

Have maybe 300 bucks into that setup

Would you care to guesstimate how many regular headlight miles have been driven in 2009 Sierras safely? 30 million maybe?

Your reasoning is bullshite.

My housings have been fine for as long as I've owned the truck. Lighting has always been fine. The housings are now cracking and fading and light output is slowly going to shite. If I'm buying new housings anyway, why not spend a little more to upgrade? I've driven vehicles with factory HID lighting and I like the sharp cutoff point they provide and they are much brighter than my halogens.

They sell just the projectors too.

Mine was just a little over that, but worth every penny.
