I posted those numbers because I dont think people realize that New Orleans was a much more dangerous place in the 90's than it is now.

Here's your across the street neighbors. They are likely HUD or HANO owned properties which aren't going anywhere probably ever. Good luck.

damn, just read about Police Officer Antoinette Frank & drug dealer Rogers Lacaze murder of Officer Ronald Williams and the two Vu family members at the Kim Ahn restaurant in '95. Crazy.
Did you read about Len Davis yet? The NOPD in the early - mid 90's was nearly as bad as the criminals.
Marc Morial (also the son of a previous mayor of NOLA) was even worse than Mitch when it came to racial politics. Here's a great example... LINK
After leaving office, Morial ended up as President of the National Urban League. Mitch is trying to follow in his footsteps and land a cushy post mayoral gig. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise...THAT is why he's doing all of this.

home ownership is so overrated, especially for a single guy who has no desire to start a family.
i goofed hard and i could have put my downpayment elsewhere and be much further ahead

Isn't there enough honor to go around? If other groups want to honor people put those statues up. Still unbelievable that statues were taken down, because supposedly a group of people are offended. My God what are we doing??

Mitch is my hero. White trash redneck have not been this pissed since they canceled Hee-Haw. That is impressive.

Jesus christ lol.
You think that flyer is real?
Yep. No fricking way that was written by a pro-monuments person.
You think that flyer is real?
quote:
“Tired of the smoke and mirrors of the city’s earlier removals, Mitch contracted us to help arrange a more participatory spectacle for the removal of the remainder of the cities more odious monuments. Ergo, we have provided hammers and chisels for your pleasure, brought to you with just a teensy bit of embezzled tax dollars. So come one, come all! Take a few whacks! Carve your name! Chisel a penis! Mind the wet paint and have fun! P.S. Mitch also asked that we dedicate this carnival of iconoclasm to Turtle Island’s newest revolutionary formation: the Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement. So let’s burn down the American Plantation together!”

President Dwight Eisenhower on why Robert E. Lee's portrait hung in his Oval Office:
Respecting your August 1 inquiry calling attention to my often expressed admiration for General Robert E. Lee, I would say, first, that we need to understand that at the time of the War between the States the issue of secession had remained unresolved for more than 70 years. Men of probity, character, public standing and unquestioned loyalty, both North and South, had disagreed over this issue as a matter of principle from the day our Constitution was adopted.
General Robert E. Lee was, in my estimation, one of the supremely gifted men produced by our Nation. He believed unswervingly in the Constitutional validity of his cause which until 1865 was still an arguable question in America; he was a poised and inspiring leader, true to the high trust reposed in him by millions of his fellow citizens; he was thoughtful yet demanding of his officers and men, forbearing with captured enemies but ingenious, unrelenting and personally courageous in battle, and never disheartened by a reverse or obstacle. Through all his many trials, he remained selfless almost to a fault and unfailing in his faith in God. Taken altogether, he was noble as a leader and as a man, and unsullied as I read the pages of our history.
From deep conviction, I simply say this: a nation of men of Lee’s calibre would be unconquerable in spirit and soul. Indeed, to the degree that present-day American youth will strive to emulate his rare qualities, including his devotion to this land as revealed in his painstaking efforts to help heal the Nation’s wounds once the bitter struggle was over, we, in our own time of danger in a divided world, will be strengthened and our love of freedom sustained.
Such are the reasons that I proudly display the picture of this great American on my office wall.
Sincerely,
Dwight D. Eisenhower

Those are beautiful sentiments of a great American. He would be chastised as a racist white supremist bigot in today's toxic PC world by the sniveling liberal fools. What a shame.
