Yeah. You'd hear about a murder or two at the beginning of every newscast. Every day.

NOLA has been on a HUGE upswing since Katrina. The real estate prices are insane. Just my opinion, but I think that is probably a better guidepost than the OT.

You can even purchase million dollar homes in Nola, but go for a one mile jog one evening and take a wrong turn, and your argument may be shot down, unless you are armed with more than real estate statistics.

I posted those numbers because I dont think people realize that New Orleans was a much more dangerous place in the 90's than it is now.

Pissed the liberals at nola.com won't allow comments of the two Mitch fluff pieces atop their site.

This is a coordinated front to get Mitch national recognition. It's insane how a pandering bitch is loved by the national media.

I hope the shite comes out of his closet soon enough to end this circus.

The housing market here is retarded. It has to bust soon. Look how many listings are now in the quarter. With the new air bnb regulations, people aren't making money on the once lucrative business.

damn, just read about Police Officer Antoinette Frank & drug dealer Rogers Lacaze murder of Officer Ronald Williams and the two Vu family members at the Kim Ahn restaurant in '95. Crazy.

I think the bust is really soon. Have at least 6 houses on a three block stretch at my house.

STRs might be somewhat to blame, but I think the market is just saturated because of everyone turning into a flipper.

Crazy bitch killed her dad too but wasn't charged I don't believe. My grandfather's dog found his knee under the house she and he lived in. Bitch buried her father under a house that had about a 2-3' crawl space.

agree

The prices have been absurd. Who wouldn't want to sell at those levels. My friends in the business have all said it's slowed considerably the last month.

High insurance and high taxes are slowing things down in certain areas, prices are still staying high in the "good locations of the city"

I've been seriously considering putting our house on the market just to test the waters and if we get a certain number I'll go rent something until the bust and we can find what we want at a decent price.

I remember that human bones were later found under Antoinette Frank's house. They were believed to be her missing father's remains.

My parents are doing exactly this with their home. They are beyond sick of the city, and I can't say I blame them. And it's not just the statues - that was just the cherry on top.

if you know what areas im talking about you should see the number of houses on the market...it's incredible..it seems like almost every other house has a sign in front of it

Saw one by me the other day. It's listed around 390k. It's a dump. I couldn't believe the number the put it up for. I wouldn't drop 150 on it.
