She had a very natural way about her. Everyone said that what you saw on camera is what you saw off camera. Not a phony.

Read that earlier but in the first segment, the cameraman said the airport director told him their plane went down so he wasn’t filming at that time if he didn’t know their plane went down

yeah they just replayed the soundbite from the cameraguy

he lost view of the plane when it went around a corner and then it went down... so he didn't actually see the crash

Doubt weather had anything to do with this. We’ll see.

I switched from WWL to Fox 8’s morning show about 3 years ago... I really liked Nancy Parker, I found her to be a very genuine person. She and John Snell had a good program going...

RIP....

FAA mandates that weather data is archived one hour prior to aircraft mishap to one hour after said mishap. 2 hours of data. There were no storms near Lakefront airport this afternoon.

No doubt

My wife just looked at me said, “Are you crying too?” Yep I was.

Been watching Kim on 8 for years and follow her on facebook. I knew she wouldn't be able to hold it together.

having what basically amounts to a 2-hour long newscast about 1 story only... the loss of your long-time co-worker and friend... I'm surprised they've lasted this long without breaking down on air

Shelley Brown looks like she's been crying.

They all look like they've been gut punched.

and for those whole 3 hours it's all been about the Nancy story... getting all these scripts written, video located, packages cut... they really had to do this in a truly compressed time frame

they haven't had a chance to breathe yet and let it sink in

Having experienced a sudden loss like this before I can say it is probably actually helping them to cope with it. But having to do it on air in front of everyone I can't imagine.

So sad.

Many a morning I watched the Fox 8 morning crew as I headed out the door for work.
