Panchos on Nicholson in BR.

I was a freshman at LSU in 1977. Yes, that place was "memorable".

Food wise it’s easily better than Panchos

But nostalgia is a hell of a thing

Grew up with the one in Chalmette. Loved going for my bday as a kid then again in high school to tear up some food. Got to BR and hit the one up on Florida a few times.

There is one near me in Humble, Tx a bit north of Houston. I never go.

Panchos on Nicholson in BR. 1980. Pledge work week. 30 or so of us go to panchos for lunch with intent of eating everything they have. We raise the flag and raise the flag and raise the flag until the manager comes out and says” enough, no more food for you”. We, being smart college student point out the sign says “all you can eat”!

Similar here and must have hit the one one Nicholson at least every other week. Never ate as much as we thought we would. Man, what crappy Mexican food that was.

Who remembers the taco joint on highland down a couple blocks from the chimes? Can’t remember the name but had $.25 tacos and beer at night. Open til midnight so was a perfect post Middleton study cube snack.

Friend,

TulaneLSU's Top 10 Panchos food items:

For the full list, see LINK on the Food Board.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

P.S. At one time shortly before Katrina, the video game at the front of the Metairie location had Metal Gear. Mother would not let me play. Cousin let me play once, though, and I lasted only about 45 seconds.
