Former director of our occupational health department usually tosses out religious exemptions for our flu shot mandate that has been in place for years now to keep your job at my hospital.

Why? Because most every organized religion out there is in favor of vaccines in general. Will take more than a signature from some shady pastor to truly qualify for one.

On what basis though?

Catholic Church supports vaccine

Thankfully I work at a hospital that won’t let that bullshite fly. Get the vaccine or have a legit medical reason to not get it…or lose your job. The way it should be in healthcare

You don’t have a chance at an exemption working

I always get a flu shot anyways

But I actually have always strongly believed in vaccines and haven’t let my political beliefs change that

Fortunately, low level scrubs aren't the ones making these final decisions and signing off on them. If they were Muslims against abortion, they would get approved every single time.

I know someone at an Ochsner hospital that received a religious exemption for being Catholic.

I wa just asking if you are willing to from now until you retire or die. Because that’s what you are saying you want others to do.

And are there any vaccines you haven’t taken? If so, why not?

Most hospitals require flu shots for employees. Have for years. I have no issue with that.

Employers have the right to make mandates of employees

Of course I haven’t refused a vaccine.

I hope your employer gives you the same look your P.E. coach gave you when you handed him your doctor's note saying you couldn't play dodgeball.

So there are vaccines out there you haven’t taken? Why not. And I don’t give a shite about your employer, I’m asking you.

If you believe in vaccines, why haven’t you taken all of them?
